The fan controller was another component i ended up importing because i couldn't find anything i liked locally. The controller i chose to use was a Noise Isolator controller. Probably the nicest fan controller i've ever seen in my life. Here's how it looked when it arrived from the USA:
I then started working on a way to close up the back. I didn't really want it open at the back, because of how i was going to utilize it. I ordered some more ABS plastic and then started on the casing:
Rear:
I then drilled holes for the sisxteen 3.5mm female jacks that would be included in the cover:
I then made all the necessary wiring that i needed for the controller, fitted it all, and then closed it up for a sneak peak on what it would look like when it was done:
Let me explain what all of those points are for. The controller has six channels for the fans, so you control two fans on each knob. I wanted there to be as many cables in the case as possible, so i sleeved each wire on the fans in their own Techflex/clear tubing combination. So each fan has two wires that plug into the controller, positive and negative (or red and black). That accounts for twelve of the 3.5mm female jacks on the controller. The other four jacks went to power for the controller (12V, GRND, GRND, 5V). The cover then got chromed:
