Since the shower hose that was used for the power supply is electrically conductive, i needed to protect my hardware from it, because if it were to touch one of the components, it would cause a short-circuit and do some critical damage. To solve this, i chose to make covers for the motherboard. These covers were made out of ABS plastic so that they could be chromed at a later stage. The ABS comes in flat sheets, so i needed to bend the plastic to fit what i wanted:
I made some holes for the motherboard power:
I then made some holes for the waterblock and the fan on the board's heatpipe, as well as fitted the bottom board cover:
I connected a few cables and goodies to get an idea of what it would look like when it was done:
The covers got chromed:
